I worked for EY in London and Sydney and was for many years the CFO of various private and public companies. During the latter part of my career, I was the CEO of the property developer, Bamburgh Properties, which refurbished close to $1billion worth of residential apartments, commercial buildings, and industrial warehouses.
I have always proud of the fact Bamburgh recycled property, saving precious resources and saving many thousand tons of CO2 from demolition and rebuilding.
In 2009, I co found the MicroLoan Foundation in Australia a NFP that provides loans and business training to women in sub-Saharan Africa.
Today, my focus is on doing whatever I can to ensure that Climate Action is taken to protect the future of my teenage kids, and the environment generally. This includes assisting local Federal Member Zali Steggall in trying to get the Climate Change Bill 2020 enacted and negotiating to build a 700kw solar farm on land my family owns for use by Sydney Water.
Oh, and I like anything on two wheels from cycles to motorbikes to Vespas!
